19 Weeks Bumpdate

(Yes, I noticed once I got to work that apparently my mirror is covered in fuzz according to these pics.. Note to self: Clean mirror!)

How far along:  19 weeks 1 day (ALMOST half way.. ahhh!)
Size of baby:  Mango (again this week?) 6.5in, 10oz
Gender:  GIRL! :) Ms. Tilly Ann Rowland
Maternity clothes:  Still the same as last week, no more shopping trips.. yet!  I have noticed when I wear my striped tops (which maternity comes in A LOT) I look way bigger. Not sure if this is good or bad? ha.  I do like my black tops the best! haha
Sleep:  Still pretty good, still lots of back and hip pain, but my jumbo pillow helps.  My sweet husband has also been rubbing my back each night before bed, which definitely helps with me not going to bed in pain!
Symptoms:  Sleepy, hungry, dizzy at times.. the usual.  And HELLO dry skin! I have always been a supppper oily girl, so for my face to be so dry that it all looks peely (ew) is very weird.  I am coating it with lotion at night and in the morning to try to keep it under control.  I have also never been one to wear a lot of lotion, because frankly I never needed it. Man, my legs itch soooo bad during the day if I don't coat them down in the morning.  I am trying to get in the habit of lathering down once I get out of the shower.  I know as my stomach grows, this will hopefully help the stretching skin as well.. yikes!
Miss anything:  What the scale used to say! ha  I haven't gained too much.. YET, but it's definitely odd to see the number continuously growing.
Movement:   Yes! I don't feel her all the time, but little spurts here and there.  I can't wait for it to be more constant.
Food cravings:  Nothing really. I just love to eat now and really have no control to say no to bad things.  I need to get back on my healthy eating I was on BEFORE being pregnant, oops! I do pretty good during the week because I always bring my breakfast snack (I also eat right when I wake up) and lunch.  I eat tons of fruit during the week, and then we always eat at home.  The weekends are what get me because we tend to eat out more as we are out and about.  Of course if I am somewhere with a yummy, fatty option.. I'm picking that. Bad, I know.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope
Have you started to show yet:   A big YES here!
Belly button in or out:  In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Mood: Happy and excited.
Best moment of this week:  Getting the rooms ready to get started on the nursery, and starting our registry.
Looking forward to:  Going in store to do the registry (hopefully) this weekend.  Hopefully it won't be TOO overwhelming.  I spent all last weekend online reading a million reviews on items. Yes, reviews can make you crazy!

Tilly Rowland

It's a GIRL!

I know the pics are hard to see, but here are some of the shots we got of our precious little GIRL. I am SO SO SO excited to finally know what we are having.  As I mentioned before, I felt it was a girl all along, but definitely would have been happy either way.  I could never picture myself NOT with a girl, but I also want a sweet little boy.  Hopefully next we will get our boy and be done! :)  Lance is such a guy's guy and loves sports, being outside working on his cars or the house, so he definitely needs a little man to do all those things with him.  With that being said, I also can't wait to see him be a super softy with our girl.  He tries to act like he will be all tough, but we all know that won't be the case.

I am so ready now for June 25 to come and to meet our little Tilly.  When thinking of baby names it was pretty easy for the boy because we were using all family names.  With the girl it was a little harder, since we would probably only use family for the middle.  I looked and looked at tons of names, but of course the ones I liked were all so common.  I knew I would not want anything popular or common, but something cute and unique.  Lance vetoed most names as I was reading them off all the lists online so when I threw out Tilly, I was shocked he agreed.  I had heard this name before and always loved it, and when I came across it again I really, really wanted to use it.  Her middle name will be Ann, after my mom's middle name.

For some reason when you are pregnant and having a baby people feel the need to give their opinions, especially the rude ones.  I've already heard comments about our choice of name and luckily I am the type of person who really could care less what others think.  Word of advice: if you don't have words of excitement or something nice to say, just keep it to yourself! No one wants to hear your mean or negative thoughts. :)

Now on to the registering and SHOPPING!!  Happy Friday!

18 Weeks Bumpdate

Getting big.. eek!

How far along:  18 weeks
Size of baby:  Mango- 6in, .5lbs
Gender:  We find out TODAY!!!  So Lance and I feel it's a girl, but then all last night I dreamt boy.  I'm thinking it's because I'm so sure they'll tell me boy since I think girl.  Does that even make sense? haha  I will honestly be happy either way and am just ready to know.  Fingers crossed our baby isn't shy and will show us what we need to see!! :)
Maternity clothes:  I went shopping this past weekend and on Monday, and got quite a few things.  2 shirts at Target, about 7 shirts at Old Navy (and some pj's that aren't maternity but just cute), and then my greatest find... Goodwill!  I had heard to look there since most maternity clothes used are pretty much brand new.  I am still wearing my regular jeans, but they do dig into right where the baby is and can be uncomfortable, and probably not too safe! Anyways, I went back to Old Navy to try them on and get my size and well.. I just wasn't too impressed.  I didn't like the way they fit.  I only tried on one style because the shelves were pretty bare and didn't have too many sizes, plus I was starving and in a hurry to meet Lance.  So after getting no pants all weekend, I figured I would go by a Goodwill not far from where I was out.  They had 2 small racks (surprise, surprise.. just like every other small maternity section) and right in the middle of the shirt rack was the PERFECT pair of jeans.  They were the Liz brand from Target, look almost brand new, my size, and get this... hemmed to my exact length!! I couldn't believe it.  I got these and 2 shirts for a total of $13.88.
Sleep:  Sleeping pretty good since I am still exhausted every second.
Symptoms:  Have I mentioned tired? ha. Still super bloody gums when brushing my teeth, yuck!  Oh, and big ole belly! :)
Miss anything:  Nope!
Movement:   YES!!!! Last week I was sitting in my car at lunch and boop! my little one did a nice flip in my belly.  Then 5 second later, another one.  It caught me off guard and was the neatest feeling ever.  Since then I have felt it a few times, mostly when sitting.
Food cravings:  I get random urges for things, but nothing all the time. Still eating those tomato sandwiches for lunch most days though.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nope
Have you started to show yet:   Oh yea.
Belly button in or out:  In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Mood: Happy happy happy!
Best moment of this week:  TODAY!
Looking forward to:  Our appointment this afternoon!!!! As much as I am excited for the gender, I am also way more anxious to make sure the anatomy scan goes well and our little one is healthy and perfect!

17 Weeks Bumpdate

(still my fancy mirror pics!)

How far along:  17 weeks
Size of baby:  Sweet Potato- 5.5 in, 6 oz
Gender:  One more week! :) :)
Maternity clothes:  I scored some simple tees (what I am wearing above) at Target on Monday for $3.98 each! They were on sale for $4.98 and then I had 20% off with Cartwheel, which took an extra $1.00 off each. Only black and gray were marked down though. Boo.  I am off Monday for MLK Day, so I think I will treat myself to a little more Maternity shopping.  I tried on some jeans at Old Navy a few weeks ago, but when I bought my new phone the picture I took of the tag got deleted :(  So I am not sure the size or style I liked.  They don't sell them in Short in the store, so I have to order them online.
Sleep:  A little better.  I got myself a body pillow this past weekend and it does make my back feel a lot better when sleeping.  The problem is I am an INSANE flopper when I sleep, therefore trying to flip around under the covers with this huge pillow doesn't really work.  I guess it works better to sleep on top of the covers with a light blanket?  But I am forever cold, so that definitely won't work. I'm sure later down the line I will be hot and a lot bigger, therefore sleeping on the covers and probably not flopping as much! :)
Symptoms:  TIRED.  I'm pretty sure I will never have energy ever again.  I have been keeping up with my mile walks at night, so I think that helps me some not be too much like a zombie.  I wish I had the self control to wake up early and do them in the morning, yea.. not going to happen.  Also, the sore gums have kicked in.  Sometimes when I spit when brushing my teeth, it's straight blood, yuck!
Miss anything:  Not at the moment.
Movement:   I THINK I felt something MAYBE the other night. But in general, still no.
Food cravings:  Monday night I was really wanting some Hot Cheetos. Oh dear.  About 45 minutes after I ate them it literally felt like someone was pouring acid down my throat. AH. The heartburn was unreal. No more Hot Cheetos for this girl.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not really.
Have you started to show yet:   Yep- Bigger and bigger every day it seems!!
Belly button in or out:  In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Mood: Happy and excited!
Best moment of this week:  Going to Target this past weekend and looking at all the baby stuff.  So excited to pick everything out soon and use it for our little one.
Looking forward to:  Finding out the gender, of course!! And also getting some more comfy maternity clothes, I think they help with the "do I look pregnant or chubby?" dilemma!

GIRLS

Ok, this show is weird.  And disturbing most of the time.  For some reason though, I can not stop watching it.  The new season started this past Sunday and of course it's as bizarre as ever!  I recorded the 2 new episodes since of course I can not stay up that late, ha.  I've only watched one so far, but already am sucked back in.  Your interest in these crazy characters and where they are going next just keeps you watching.  Since it is on HBO, they stretch the limits far with language, conversations, and lots of random nudity.  If you can look past that, it's a very humorous show to watch!  Don't judge me if you've seen it and think it's absolutely awful! haha I think it's either a love or hate type of show.   If you're interested to check it out, it comes on HBO Sunday nights. 10pm NC time, and 9pm for you MS/TN folks.

16 Weeks Bumpdate

How far along:  16 weeks
Size of baby:  Turnip- 5in, 5oz
Gender:  We scheduled our anatomy/gender scan for January 22. Two weeks from today!!!! :)
Maternity clothes:  Still the same from before. I am LOVING these work ones, but they are for sure showing my growing bump to it's fullest.
Sleep:  I have not been sleeping too good this week, I think it's time to invest in a body pillow.  I heard they work wonders.  The pregnancy ones are SO expensive ($100 or so!) and I heard a regular body pillow can work, so I think I will go that route first and see how it goes.  I am also having very CRAZY, vivid dreams. I won't be sharing those crazy things.
Symptoms:  Super tired, tired, tired! Sheesh.  Still achey and back pain.  I started back on the treadmill this week since the nausea is almost 100% gone (yay!!!).  I have just been doing a one mile walk, at 3mp with 3 lbs weights.  Nothing too crazy, but keeping myself somewhat active.  That takes about 20 minutes, and I hope to next week bump it up to 30min and eventually get to the 2 mile mark.  My goal is 3-4 times a week.  So far this week I did it Sunday and Tuesday, so I'm on the right track! :)
Miss anything:  Good sleep this week!
Movement:   I don't think so.. it should be soon!
Food cravings:  Still nothing really here.  Just food in general.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not too bad.  Sometimes I still have the issue with gagging if I am around food right after I eat.  Smells are definitely super strong, and since I am not a big red meat eater normally, that smell is really gross!
Have you started to show yet:   Yep! Bump is here to stay.
Belly button in or out:  In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Mood: Happy and anxious to find out the gender!!
Best moment of this week:  We had our 16 week checkup on Monday.  We got to hear our fast little heart beat, 160, and recorded it to share with friends and family.
Looking forward to:  Our next appointment in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year's Eve/New Year.  I was at home comfy on the couch in my PJ's by 7 (asleep by 8:30 and woken at 11:30 to see the ball drop! ha).

Cheers to the best year yet!

15 Weeks Bumpdate

This is in my new snazzy maternity pants, belly free to breathe

The other day in a comfy maternity tee from Old Navy

I thought I would just stick to my trend of not so good mirror shots! haha I promise I'll get better.. one day!

How far along:  15 weeks, 1 day
Size of baby:  Avocado, 4-5 inches & 3-5 oz
Gender: Hopefully in about 3 more weeks, yay!
Maternity clothes:  I got a few shirts at Old Navy while my mom was here, and though the belly section is still a bit big, I like that part! ha Also, on Tuesday I went over to Target on lunch to look for some work maternity pants. I can still wear my jeans since they fit lower, but since dress pants come up higher, they were digging right in my stomach. Not only was this uncomfortable, but also making a weird bulge.  I found a pair that was marked $34.99, but to my delight only rang up for $10.39 at the register. Let me say, I am wearing these for the first time today and they are SO COMFORTABLE. They also help my stomach look more pregnant, and not just fat smashed in my old waist haha.  They don't hide anything though, so the belly is pouching today!
Sleep:  Still lots of potty breaks ALL night, but sleeping good.
Symptoms:  I am still tired ALL THE TIME, but the nausea is so much better. It randomly hits me at night, but at least I can just go to sleep then.  Also lower back pain and growing belly, still the same!
Miss anything:  Mainly just some random foods here and there.
Movement:   Not yet :(
Food cravings:  Nothing really, I just like to eat. ha
Anything making you queasy or sick:  The past few days after I eat, if I am really full and then am around or see food, I start gagging. Odd. This happened yesterday in the grocery store (Not a good place to not want to see food!) and then this morning after I had breakfast and opened the pantry to get some things out for lunch.
Have you started to show yet:   It's still doing the same, going up and down in size. Night time is definitely the biggest and it's more hard. (hello full day of eating!) I can for sure tell it's not going down as much anymore though, there's a permanent belly!
Belly button in or out:  In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Mood: Happy!
Best moment of this week: Having my mom here to shop for clothes and talk about baby stuff.
Looking forward to: Our 16 week appointment next Monday and getting to schedule the gender appointment! I wanted SO bad to come home and have a gender reveal party with all my friends and family, but plane ticket prices have been outrageous and just keep rising. :( So I guess we will just call and announce it. Boo.  But I will be home sometime in April no matter what for our shower and to take maternity pics! :)
