Ivor - 9 Months

I feel like I had a full workout after these pictures each month!

Month: 9 - November 26, 2017

Height: 26 3/4th - 3%

Weight: 17.2lbs - 10%

**Fun fact- Tilly was only 0.2oz bigger than this at a year! haha**

Diaper Size: 3 for daytime and 4 at night

Clothes Size: 9 Months

Sleep:  He is just like his sister was as a baby with bedtime and is READY for bed at 6:30.  He will sleep until 7-8am.  2 naps a day that average an hour to 2.5 hours.

Eat:  4 bottles and 2 meals.  I am trying to find the balance to squeeze in a lunch as well around naps and bottles.  He LOVES baby snacks and eats sooo much at his "meals".  I am also starting to introduce more table food and get him used to textured food and chewing with his gums.  He still has zero teeth and no signs of them coming!

Likes:  I swear he is the happiest little baby.  Ivor is just so content and smiley.  He is still a big ole mama's boy for sure!
He also loves anything and everything he shouldn't.  Anything plugged in (especially phone chargers), every tiny toy Tilly has, remotes, phones, etc.

Dislikes:  Being in the car seat for long trips!  We drove to VA for Thanksgiving, and while he does great in the car, the trip wears on him.  For about a week or so after a long trip, he FREAKS when we go to put him in the car seat.  Luckily as soon as he is buckled in, he stops.  I feel so bad because it's like he thinks he's going to be stuck for a long time again.  He also does not like to be sleepy.  That is really the only time he cries!  Oh, and he is starting to realize he doesn't like to be told no. Uh oh!

I thought this picture was hilarious.  They both just got new PJs and I said, ok smile with your new PJs!! And I get this gem! haha!

Extra Updates:   Since last month he finally started to say mama! Now he'll babble mama and dada all day long.  He also is a turbo speed crawler and is ALL over the place.  He has started to pull up, but mainly to his knees.  He has only a few times pulled up all the way to standing, but I am sure that will be here very soon.  One big difference (though there are many!) between baby Ivor and baby Tilly is the anxiety of strangers.  Poor Tilly still to this day has very bad separation anxiety, but this little dude will let anyone hold him and be happy as a clam.  I can't tell you how much easier this makes my life!! I don't know what I would do if I had 2 kids who were terrified of being away from me.  I find this funny since he is wayyyy more of a mama's baby than she was.  But.. he's funny. He'll do great with strangers until he sees me walk by or come in the room.. then he cries and wants me! haha  He spent the night with my mom Saturday and was 100% fine.  Then we Facetime'd to see him and as soon as he saw me on the screen, he started crying!! ha  Silly boy!

He had many firsts this month.. Halloween, Thanksgiving, going to VA to meet a lot of Lance's family, and.. a first hair cut!!! He has SO much hair.  I swear he looks like a toddler now after his haircut.. ah!

I know I say this all the time, but he is such a happy little baby.  He sits and soaks in everything with the biggest grin on his face.  I really can't believe that pretty soon he will be a YEAR! I know the holidays are going to fly by and it will be January before we know it, which means his birthday will be the next month. Ah! Life with 2 kids is crazy, exhausting and oh so fun..and this little man completed our family perfectly! We love you homeboy! (my nickname for him that Lance finds hilarious!)

Ivor - 8 Months

These pictures were HARD to take this month, as you can see!! haha

Month: 8 - October 26, 2017

Height: No check this month!

Weight: From weighing him at home I think he is around 16 1/2lbs

Diaper Size: 3

Clothes Size: 9 Months

Sleep:  Same here as last month.  Goes to bed around 6:30 and does 12 or so hours.  Then sometimes goes back down for an hour or if he sleeps in a bit later, he is up until his morning nap.  He does 2 naps most days unless they run short, then we squeeze in that last 3rd one.  Still a great sleeper!

Eat:  4-5 bottles around 5-6oz.  Has 2 baby food "meals' and tons of baby snacks. This guy LOVES food.  This month I think I will introduce more real food and see how he does.  So far he has only had chopped up bananas and green beans.

Likes:  Just our super happy, smiley guy who loves almost everything! Lately he really likes to be tickled and I swear is the most ticklish baby ever. He will just laugh and laugh!! It's funny because he won't laugh near as hard with Lance as he does for me. He also loves to chew on anything and everything.  He has something in his mouth at all times.. but still no teeth! He also still really loves to watch Tilly and laugh at everything she does. He is so fascinated with her.  And of course he is still a big ole mama's boy and loves to snuggle me! :)

Dislikes:  The Nose Frida.  Oh my!  He has another cold now thanks to big sis (who infested our whole house.. we're all sick!!) and I have had to suck his nose like crazy.  Poor guy is not a fan of mommy these days when he sees that thing coming!

Extra Updates:   We have had some big changes these past 2 days (which yes, did happen a few days after he turned 8 months but I'll go ahead and put it in this month).  He has been trying to crawl foooooorever and has been so close for weeks.  Yesterday all within 10 minutes he crawled for the first time and got into the sit up position on his own for the first time.  Apparently being sick makes him super baby!!   This month he also started saying "dada" on repeat allllll day long.  He thinks it's the funniest thing to say and thinks it is even funnier when you say it to him.  It's so funny to me he said dada first since the first few months he wasn't that big of a fan of Lance, haha! He sure does love his daddy now though!  Also, little man has such a head of hair! Oh my gosh, his locks are so luscious.  Probably this weekend Lance is going to give him his first hair cut.  So cute!  This past month he also had his first sleepover at grandma's (twice!) and let mommy and daddy have 2 kid free nights for the first time in forever, woohoo! Luckily he did great, minus waking up a bit earlier than normal for grandma!

He is still our sweet, snuggly little baby boy and is such a joy to be around.  He is such a trooper being drug all around and adapted so well to having to go with the flow a lot.  We love you so much little mini Lance! (I mean, how much does this guy look identical to his daddy?!?)
