Hello M-F, 8:30-5

Since it is a slooooooow day at work, I thought I would walk around my office and snap a few pics to give a little insight on what I look at all day!  I HAVE to have photos at work, this keeps me sane and helps me remember after 5pm I get to escape back to reality.  First off, here are my nifty business cards- that no one gets, ever.  I work in Operations, therefore I see no customers. It does give me something to put in my cute card holder though. :)  My whole office "set" matches, nifty!

Next, here is my lovely view- dual monitors of boring banking info.  I do keep my wonderful someecards calendar here, so I can get a good laugh every day.  Today's says-- "Just curious if you'd like to pay me tens of millions of dollars for pictures of my new baby." Hey, I'm down for this when we have a baby!

This is my newest, and one of my fav, items in my office. I use the summer to summer calendars and was starting to stress a bit that my calendar was ending this month and I had nothing to replace it with that was cute. Well, thank you Target for this lovely find! $9.99 for this super cute little number. The cute little yellow pattern goes around the whole calendar. LOVE!  (side note- my July 3 reminder is to drop our dogs off at the kennel so we can head to the BEACH finally!! {well, let me not jinx us again, so I'll say hopefully!}).

This is my little "clutter side". Yes, I am a neat freak so I try to keep my tiny desk as organized as possible.  As you can see, I  have a BIT of an obsession with pens, markers, highlighters, sharpies, you know- all the good stuff!

Here is the front little nook of my desk.  That ugly gold thing you see is the bottom of my fancy lamp that came with the office. Then I have my cute little cactus Lance gave me. So far I haven't killed it (I don't think- how do you tell with a cactus???).  I water it randomly and hope for the best! Also, one of my favorite pictures of us from my going away party in September 2011.

And now just some random pics I have around the office to keep me smiling! :)

Happy Tuesday from my little banking office in downtown Charlotte, NC!

A few funnies for your Monday

Since it's a Monday (BOO!), I thought I would put together a nice little collection of the many things I find humorous on Pinterest.   Hope these give you a good laugh and make your Monday a little bit better!

Enjoy! :)

Lately.

It's been a while since I have written, and a lot has happened.  We were supposed to leave Saturday morning, the 1st, to fly to FL to meet up with my family for a week on the beach.  I was SOO excited! The weeks leading up to this Lance's grandmother had been very sick and was sent home with hospice, so we knew the time was coming. Sadly, she passed away on May 31.  I was disappointed to miss our trip, but knew 100% we needed to head to VA instead to be with Lance's mom and family.  Thank goodness we called Delta and they only took out a $50 fee per ticket (which was only because I booked through Orbitz and they charge that fee to Delta for cancellations), and gave us a credit for the rest to use on a future flight.  We rearranged a bit of our packing and headed to be with his family Saturday afternoon.  I am so glad we went, because that is something that will be memories and important to his family forever, as we can go to the beach anytime.  We got to spend lots of time with his HUGE family and also meet 2 of his grandmother's siblings that the family had never met.  It was definitely a memorable week.  Luckily for Lance (and myself) he did not have to use any vacation time for that week since it was an immediate death in his family, so now he has an extra week to take off and do home projects! :) haha

We both have a 4 day weekend with the 4th, so instead of heading to VA as we orginially planned before that week, we are having our own mini beach vacation! I just booked our room yesterday, we will be staying at a cute litte inn at Ocean Isle, a nice secluded beach.  It sure is nice to live within a few hours of TONS of beaches! :) I can't wait to have a few days of relaxtion on the beach, lots of seafood, and quality time with just the hubby and me.

I hope everyone has a great Saturday and stays cool.. it sure is getting hot up here in NC.. whew!! :)

XOXO

Finally!

Yes, one more post about tanner. :)  As I mentioned before, I was waiting to get my recently purchased Groupon order when I wrote the original post. Well much to my surprise, I LOVE everything about this tanner.  I paid $14.99 on Groupon, regular price is around $35, but I did find it on Amazon for $20.. not bad!  I have never used one with the mit before, and it works great!! This is the 60 minute version, so rinse off between an hour-3 hours after. I picked an hour and a half since I am so pale and didn't want to turn orange.  Basically this tanner dries asap, no smell right away, and goes on at first with a small tint so you can see where you are applying. The color is amazing and SO even.  I put it on Sunday night around 5, and rinsed about 6:30.  I will warn you, after you rinse it doesn't look like you have any color, but when I woke up Monday I had a great, even tan.  The smell did come out some in my sleep, but nothing horrible at all! By Thursday the tan was fading some, not splotchy, just in color.  I reapplied Thursday night over the left over color and it looked perfect again Friday morning.  I am in LOVE with this product and think I will only buy this from now on. I have done two full body applications and the bottle still has plenty left.  After I am done applying, I just throw the mit in the washer and then let it air dry. Definitely recommend this product 100%. I actually will probably use this instead of getting it professionally done since it looks just as good, or better!

 Happy safe "tanning"!! :)
