Ivor - 7 Months

Month: 7 - September 26, 2017

Height: I think it was 26inches at his weight check, but they didn't write it down and I honestly don't remember! oops

Weight: 14lbs 9oz on Sept 22.  We went in for a weight check and this little man bumped up 2lbs in less than a month! I also checked his weight at home a few days ago (weigh myself and then weigh again holding him) and it showed 16lbs! what?!

Diaper Size: 3

Clothes Size: 6months for some and moving into 9months for winter, even though it's a bit big still.

Sleep:  He takes his last bottle around 6:15/30pm and is asleep within 15 or so minutes of finishing.  He wakes between 6:30/7am. Most mornings he will take his bottle and go back to sleep for another hour or so, or sometimes he just stays awake until his morning nap.  Naps are 3 a day.. morning (9am) , mid afternoon (12/1p), and a quick late afternoon one (4/4:30p).  The times vary depending on what we are doing and how long the last nap was.  He is on a loose routine with the morning and afternoon naps being around 1.5-2 hours and the late one is maybe 40min.. just enough to hold him over until bedtime! ha  He also puts himself to sleep for ALL sleeping now. Woohoo!! So glad to be on a semi schedule now.  He is definitely a sleeping champ just like his big sister.  I am SO thankful for this!!

Eat:  So good! He has 5 bottles a day where I always offer 6oz.  Most days he takes between 25-30oz total and also has 2 "meals" of baby food.  Breakfast and dinner.

Likes:  This baby is the happiest little guy.  He loves so much! He definitely loves his big sister and watching everything she does! He loves rolling all around, chewing on everything, being tickled, eating, sleeping, etc!

Dislikes:  He does not like getting dressed and having stuff pulled over his head. I think that's the one thing that makes him the most mad!

Extra Updates:  Oh my gosh. I could go on and on about our little man.  He has to be the most laid back, relaxed baby ever.  He is such a go with the flow (unless it's bedtime and he is ready to go to sleep! ha), happy, easy baby.  He had his moments the first few months like all newborns, but he has really blossomed into a calm little soul.  It's quite different from his VERY high strung GO GO GO sister.  He is such a champ with being drug around for Tilly's schedule and is just so content!  He is always so happy and in the best mood.  He's one of those babies that makes you think you could have 100 more. but NO, no more babies for the Rowlands! ha  He did have his first cold I mentioned last month that he was still battling, and it was rough. Thank goodness (for now) the sickness is behind us.  We also took our first LONG car trip.  We drove back to MS which made 4 days in the car total of 6-7 hours each day. (2 there and 2 home).  Yall.  This baby barely cried ANY. He was so good and shocked us all.  I hope this means he will be a super calm and lazy toddler.. a girl can dream! haha!  He was able to spend time with both sets of great-grandparents (first time meeting one set!), my dad, brother, and friends back home.  It was so nice to let so many people who are close to me finally met our sweet boy.

Another big update is our little man finally decided to start moving and grooving. He can roll all over the place now and can sit up forever.  He took the longest time to show any interest in doing anything but laying around! ha  By 6months Tilly was already crawling, so I am getting used to his timing and want to do new things.  He is showing signs of starting to want to crawl, but who knows when he'll actually attempt it.  With the rolling finally came the contentment to sleep on his belly.  He used to only be a back and side sleeper, but is now all over the place with sleeping.

He is continuously growing and learning new things, and this is such a fun stage to go through.   I know with the holidays coming up, 2018 will be here before we know it and I will be in shock my baby is almost a year!  We are having so much fun with our little guy and he has definitely completed our family.  While having 2 kids and being a stay at home mom is completely exhausting and draining, I also love it so much and all the time we get to spend together.  With Tilly having 2 mornings at Preschool, it is a nice quiet time I get some one on one time with Ivor.

Happy 7 Months Mr. Ivor! :)
