Tilly's "Oh Two-dles" Birthday Bash!

This past weekend we had a few of Tilly's little toddler friends over and some family and celebrated our big girl.  Last year for her 1st birthday we invited EVERYONE and it was just so crowded.  This year we had it much smaller, and it was so much less stressful.

The morning of her party the power decided to randomly shut off for no reason around 6:45am. Cue panic mode for me! I immediately called and reported the outage and was given an estimated time of 9am for it to be restored.. and her party started at 11am!  I called my mom (who lives around the corner) to see if her power was on and thank goodness it was.  We booked it over so I could shower and get ready while she entertained Tilly.  Luckily it did come back on right at 9am and the rest of the day went perfect.

I am totally the "Pinterest" mom and love crafting and having it all themed.  From the food to gift bags to décor.. we were ALL about Mickey.  I had it set up as an outdoor water party so the kids could go nuts in all her water activities and not be fighting over all the toys inside, as we all know toddlers do (well at least mine does!)! It was a huge hit and Tilly had a BLAST!! That girl was laughing and playing all day. It was the best day.

Along with the food shown below, Lance smoked a pork butt all night for the adults. It was delicious and completely gone by the end of the party!

Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped celebrate our sweet girl!

And girl moms.. if your little one is OBSESSED with your make-up like mine is, you MUST get this make-up set! It looks so real, but its completely fake so NO mess! Tilly LOVES it!!!!

Now for pictures and décor info! :)

Tilly - 2 Years Old

2 years old!! We are no longer in months, but we just have a 2 year old. Wow.  I know everyone says time flies when you have kids, but man does it! I honestly think this second year went by faster than the first. I really hope each year doesn't go faster and faster!!!  Lets just dive right in and talk about little miss at 2.

Oh, Tilly! You are still as sweet and sassy as can be. You are 100% girl. The attitude and eye rolling is real.  It's quite impressive how much you learn from your mama.. oops! Poor Daddy.  You are so funny with your faces and are constantly cracking us up with your little personality.  The moods/tantrums definitely started about a month ago and the anger that can come out of your little body is FIERCE!  I will say even when you are absolutely losing your mind, I can for the most part calm you down pretty quick.  I have been EXTREMELY lucky so far with this happening only at home, and mommy would really appreciate it if you would continue to keep the crazy out of public! haha You still have the most energy I have ever seen in a kid and are constantly moving. You are 100mph all day long and it's exhausting, but so much fun! You LOVE to jump. It's hilarious to see you constantly hopping around yelling "jump! jump!" Your best friend is still Emma and you guys are so cute and funny together. You are so obsessed with Emma and a lot of mornings your daddy and I are woken up to you screaming "EEEEEE-MAAAAA" in your crib at the top of your lungs. Yall get to hang out most week 3 times and you love each and every time.. even though yall like to go to war over the baby dolls.

You are currently in size 12 month shorts still because your waist is SO tiny.  You are wearing 2T tops and dresses, and then 18 month PJs.  After being in size 3 baby shoes FOREVER, you skipped up and went straight into toddler size 5's.  Some run big, but most of the sandals size 5 fit you great! I feel like we've maxed out in size 4 diapers and you will continue to rock these until the potty training days come. Speaking of that, you have a potty and love to run around screaming "poopoo in potty!!" but you only will sit on the potty fully clothed! ha The time will come, and I am in no rush!  We had your doctor check-up today and you are continuing right along your curve healthy as can be as the petite princess. You weighed in at 21.4lbs and are 33in tall.  You actually jumped up and went from 0.6% to 1.3% for weight! haha Go girl!

You are talking up a storm and can repeat basically anything anyone says. Some days you are 100% a parrot.  When you are talking on your own, I am pretty much the only one who completely understands you. Poor daddy and grandma have the hardest time learning your language! haha

Sleep wise you are around the same here.  We still put you down around 6:30 most nights, but lately you have been playing a lot longer. You aren't fussing or crying, but we might try to put you down later again and see how it goes.  Before when we put you down later you did NOT like it and it was a mess.  Sometimes I think you just like that 45min-hour time to wind down and have to yourself. You wake up around 7am most days and nap around 12:30/1 with the average length being around 2 hours. But you still throw in a good 3 hour nap every now and then. Rare these days though.  You MUST still have your elephant and your blanket, and we HAVE to read Goodnight Moon before each sleep session. Girlfriend, you are a major creature of habit and routine.

During the week you are a busy bee with your gym classes and play dates. We spend most mornings out and about and after naptime at home. As exhausted as I am some evenings, I love spending my days with you and getting to have the best job in the world as your mommy!

We spent the day at the zoo on your birthday, and while it was fun.. I think you enjoyed all the squirrels running around more than anything! haha We are having your party this weekend and of course we are going with the "Oh Two-dles" theme since you are ALL about Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I will be sure to post all about it next week! :)

We love you SOOO much and love watching you learn and grow each and every day.

And now second year pic overload!
