Ivor - 2 Months

This month's pictures were so much easier and he was the cutest thing grinning away at me! :)

Month: 2 - April 26, 2017

Height: 22 inches

Weight: 10lbs 11oz

Diaper Size:  Size 1. We are almost finishing up our last box and since we have a few boxes of 2's, I think I am going to go ahead and bump him up.  We were so lucky with our shower and getting so many diapers, we haven't had to buy any yet! It's crazy to think Tilly was still in newborn at this age!

Clothes Size:  In all 3 month. Some of the ones that run 0-3 are too small.  Growing boy!

Sleep:  Our little man is a ROCK STAR! I feel like writing this out will send bad vibes, but hopefully not haha!  This guy sleeps even more than Tilly did at his age!! The craziest thing is they started sleeping long stretches the exact same week.  Apparently once my kids hit 7 weeks, they're over waking up.  He still isn't 100% consistent but... he now still goes to bed right around 10pm and will sleep anywhere from 6am to 8am! The first night he did 10p-8a I was awake a few hours just staring at him making sure he was breathing! ha  I know with babies things can change in the blink of the eye, so we'll see next month how things compare. I am so, so thankful to have sleep loving babies. I wish I had some trick to share.. I really do!  Naps are still kind of on and off throughout the day and no schedule yet.  He is starting to actually have longer awake times though now, which is nice!

Eat:  He was eating around every 3-4ish hours, but once he started those all night stretches things definitely changed during the day.  Average he does maybe 2 hour stretches, but once evening hits he can want to eat even just every hour and a half.  Luckily he is still pretty quick when he eats, so it's not that inconvenient.  And if he needs to do that to stock up before bed, you go right ahead buddy! We are still currently EBF.

Likes:  Eat, sleep, and snuggle still on this one!  He was very much wanting to be held A LOT the first 2-3 days after sleeping all night.  It's like he realized he didn't see me all night and had to make up for it.  The past day or two he's letting me put him back down for naps again, whew.  He also still likes his pacifier quite a bit. He's hit or miss with it and normally just uses it the most at night when he's got his fussy time.  Also still a big ole mama's boy!

Dislikes:  Diaper changes are a lot easier these days and he doesn't get near as mad.  The main thing he gets upset over is just when he's ready to eat and I am not fast enough! He also did NOT like his 2 month shots.. ah, I forgot how awful they were with babies.  Other than that, he is a really happy baby just like Tilly was.  He mainly only cries when he is hungry or the times he wants to snuggle and you put him down.

Extra Updates: The past week or so has been really fun because he is starting to make eye contact and actually look AT you and not just that hazy stare.  He is starting to interact with grinning and emotions.. it's the sweetest thing ever! He really is such a sweet, happy baby and pretty laid back.   Things are definitely harder with 2 because as much as I want to hold him all day and snuggle, that isn't the reality with 2 kids.  I have to tend to Tilly as well, so poor guy gets left to cry sometimes until I can get to him.  They like to tag team me and need me at the exact same time.  Like he'll want to eat right as I am cleaning her up after lunch and getting her ready for nap. He also gets drug around to all her activities and outings, which isn't that bad since his car seat knocks him out.  At this age he has been out and about more than Tilly was probably the first 6-7 months.  Things sure change with kid #2.  Overall, things are crazy and hectic, but fun and great at the same time.  I can't wait for him to continue to grow and develop  more interaction and a relationship with Tilly.  He already loves to stare and smile at her and I know he's wondering "who is this crazy loud girl always an inch from my face staring at me?!" haha! She is still doing great with him and (knock on wood) shown no jealously at all.  I know it could hit at any point, but as of now she either loves him or ignores him. We have had so much fun adding this little boy to our family and just love him to pieces!

Now for month 2 picture overload! :)

Side note- Lance's mom's side of the family is Filipino and I was so curious if either of our kids would get their darker skin.. well apparently poor Tilly got my snow white skin and little man is going to be darker. It's so funny to see them beside each other and already see the difference! I definitely feel like Ivor is just a little mini Lance :)
