Ivor is ONE!

Ivor is ONE!

What?!? How is this possible! I feel like I literally just found out I was pregnant and thought "oh crap.. two kids?!" haha!  To say this year has flown by is nothing but the truth.  I think the second kid goes even faster than the first time around!  Ivor came into this world just as fast and furious as his sister and turned our world upside down in the best way possible.  We were so blessed to get such a sweet, easy going baby.  He is still a champion sleeper and if I could have picked the one thing my kids have in common myself, I couldn't have chosen anything better than their love of sleep.  He goes to bed at 6:30 and sleeps an average of 12.5-13.5 hours.  He still takes 2 naps a day that total about 3ish hours for both.  Ivor LOVES to eat.. and I mean loves.  This guy can pack in so much food, it's crazy.  When it comes to liquids, he is very stubborn and picky.  He started to refuse his bottle around 10 months and I forced it on him until around 11 months.  Then I just didn't care, and we took it away! ha  He does NOT like milk and will only drink water.  And only from a straw cup.. very specific little man!  Even with basically no formula the last 2 months and no milk now, little (big) man was right at 20lbs at his one year checkup.  The doctor was very impressed he bumped up from 10% to 25% for weight on food alone those last few months ha!  He finally got 2 teeth right at a year, so all that eating was mainly with only gums! haha!  He now wears mostly 12 month clothes, but can wear 18 months in sizes that run small.  He also seems to have a small foot like Tilly and is still in around size 2 or 3 shoes.  Tilly wore size 3 until she was almost 2.. tiny!!!

Ivor is such a sweet, sweet little boy.  He has always just been along for the ride and honestly has never cried much.  2 things for sure to make him cry- when he's sleepy or hungry.  He is now getting into the stage of getting mad when you take something he isn't supposed to have or telling him no, so the toddler tears have begun! He is WAY, WAY more into things than Tilly ever was.  He is constantly opening the toilet lid, yanking off the toilet paper, opening the garbage can lid and trying to pull stuff out, opening every drawer/cabinet, etc.  I never baby proofed our house before, but it looks like that may change very soon!  This little man keeps me on my toes in the mischievous department.  He still idolizes his big sister, but loves to make her mad by wanting all of her toys.  He loves all her stuff, but has really shown a huge interest in anything with wheels.. cars, trucks, you name it!

He still doesn't say much at this point, mainly just dada (ALL the time), mama, and uh oh.  He can also somewhat say bye.  He loves to wave and give kisses, and then will clap sometimes and also "blow kisses" some. There is zero interest in walking unassisted, but he will walk along beside you if you hold his hand.  He has had 4 haircuts by age 1, and that totally cracks me up since Tilly took forever to grow hair!

Over the last month or so, Ivor has really become obsessed with Lance.  He loves him so much and says dada all day! He gets so excited when Lance gets home from work and has the biggest grin on his face when he sees him.  At night if I get him ready for bed, the second he sees Lance he almost jumps out of my arms to get to him.  Lance does bedtime with Ivor every night just like he did with Tilly.  That's their little time together since he is away at work all day. I love seeing my two guys together! Oh, and they are still TWINS!

Adding this little boy to our family has been the best thing ever.  While having 2 kids feels like having 20 at times, all the stress and insanity is so worth it. I am so excited to watch him continue to grow and start the extra crazy that will come with having 2 TODDLERS. ahh!

HAPPY ONE YEAR IVOR HINTON ROWLAND!
