Height: n/a - no doc appointment this month!
Weight: I held him and weighed myself on our scale to see the difference, and it shows right at 13lbs. Tiny tot.
Diaper Size: 2
Clothes Size: Officially bumped up to all things 6 month!
Sleep: Well it's funny last month I was saying I wish we could get him away from the 9pm bedtime and right after I wrote this, I realized we were keeping him up really for no reason when he was so tired. We played around a bit to find the best bedtime and we are settled now with doing his last feeding around 7pm and straight to bed. He is asleep most nights between 7:15-30pm. We also took away the swaddle and moved him from the pack n play in our room to the crib in his room all in the same weekend. I was TERRIFIED for this, but thank goodness only the first night was bad and then he was fine! He wakes most mornings between 5-6am to eat and then immediately back down until close to 8am. Night time Lance takes him after I feed him and will bounce with him maybe 1-2 minutes before putting him down awake. Ivor will roll around and babble a few minutes, then put himself to sleep no problem. Naps? Naps are my nightmare. I have been trying to get him in his crib for naps the past 2 weeks and little boy is NOT having it. He will cry and cry and CRY foooorever. Sometimes if I go in a million times he will finally cave and sleep maybe 30 minutes in there. He only wants to nap in my arms. His nights and days are so, so different. Tilly didn't nap in her crib until 6 months even though she was in there at nights at 4 months as well. I just held her and watched TV during her naps because she was my only child. Well, times are different now! ha I don't know when he'll cave, but we are all completely OVER this nap battle. I think my kids' 4 month sleep regression must come in the form of naps.. they boycott the crib!
Eat: Average about every 3 hours during the day. Still moving along with EBF. We also started to slowly introduce solids after his 4 month appointment. Our doctor said she was ok with us testing it out and seeing if he was interested. We didn't start Tilly until 6 months, but ya know, second kid here! haha This little guy LOVES some baby food. The only food he hasn't seemed to like so far have been bananas. His first food was sweet potatoes, just like big sis. The food has definitely got things flowing more these days, so his days of going 10-14 days with no poop have come to an end!
Dislikes: His crib during the day!
Extra Updates: We are still just moving right along in this crazy life of 2 kids. So far he has rolled from his belly to his back, but shown no interest in back to belly. I try to get him on his mat as much as I can for floor time, but he's pretty lazy and just lays there and looks around! He really is the sweetest little boy and he sure does love his mommy! He still watches me like a hawk if someone else is holding him and I am in the room. He had his first long stretch away from me on my birthday. My mom watched the kids while Lance and I went out for a few hours, and I think we were apart maybe 5-6 hours. He isn't a big fan of the bottle, but luckily he didn't starve himself while I was gone. He has started to laugh when other people are laughing and he has some major tickle spots on him. The funniest thing now is when you are eating or drinking, he is SO interested and looks like he wants to devour whatever it is you are eating. It cracks me up! The last few weeks he has gotten really good at being able to reach out and grab his toys, and of course stick them straight in his mouth. He loves the little teether banana toothbrush that was passed down from Tilly. He also still randomly babbles "mama" a lot, even though I know he doesn't know what he is saying.. not yet at least! I am excited to see what all changes happen this next month as we start venturing into the times of sitting up, rolling over, and the beginning stages of crawling. Hopefully by next month I will have a happy update for naps and all sleep will be in his crib.. fingers crossed! We love you little snuggle monster!!
And of course, picture time!
